Microchipping and Lifetime Registration - Published: 12 Dec 2006

Under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998, all dogs and cats which are born or who change owners after the 1 July 1999 will need to be microchipped and registered. The exemption being, if you already owned your cat at this date it is not compulsory.
